Adding the GARAN-Label and legal guarantee notice in epages

Unlike most platforms, epages is building this in natively: a dedicated GARAN label field in the product's Legal section. Here's what to know and how to prepare.

As of 1 September 2026, epages has officially announced a native GARAN label upload field for epages Now shops, under the product's Legal section. Per their announcement, this was rolling out as part of a later update and not yet live for every shop at the time of writing. Worth untangling upfront: the legal guarantee notice applies to every product you sell, no exceptions. The GARAN-Label is a separate, second step that only matters if you're advertising a manufacturer guarantee longer than 2 years, and epages is handling that part differently than most platforms, as you'll see below.

Step 1: add the legal guarantee notice via your shop content

The legal guarantee notice is identical for every product, so a one-time addition to your shop, for example via a content/text element on the product page template in the epages design editor, is enough. You don't need to repeat it per product.

Step 2: use epages' native upload field, if it applies to you

This only matters if you're advertising a voluntary manufacturer guarantee of more than 2 years on a product. Where it applies, the label is specific to that product (brand, model, guarantee duration), so create a free account and generate it first, sandbox mode costs nothing, before you have anything to upload. Once the field is available in your shop:

  1. Open the product's settings and go to the Legal section in your epages back office.
  2. Upload the generated GARAN-Label for that product.
  3. Repeat for each product, or check whether your shop offers a bulk-upload option once the feature is fully rolled out.

Because this is a purpose-built native field, there's no separate "information area vs. image gallery" decision to make, unlike platforms without official support: epages places it correctly by design.

How to generate the labels now, ready for upload

Start by creating a free account at GARAN-Label.com, sandbox mode is free, so you can generate and preview labels while you wait for the field to reach your shop. Then decide how you want to generate the labels:

Small catalogue

Manual mode: enter brand, model, and guarantee duration, and download the label right away, ready to upload once the field is live.

Large catalogue

CSV mode gives you a result file with brand, model, and the matching label URL for every product at once.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about epages

Does the GARAN-Label apply to every product I sell?

No, only to products where you advertise a voluntary manufacturer guarantee of more than 2 years. The legal guarantee notice is the separate, mandatory part that applies to your whole catalogue regardless.

Is the native field available right now?

Per epages' own announcement, it's rolling out as part of a later platform update and wasn't live yet at the time of writing. Check epages' announcement for the current rollout status in your shop.

What should I do while the field isn’t live yet?

Generate your GARAN-Labels now, manually for a small catalogue or via CSV for a large one, and keep the files or result URLs ready. That way, uploading them is the only step left once the field appears in your shop.

Do I still need to add the legal guarantee notice separately?

Yes. The legal guarantee notice is a separate, mandatory requirement for every physical product, independent of whether you also advertise a manufacturer guarantee. It's identical for every product, so it only needs to be added once.
