Adding the GARAN-Label and legal guarantee notice in Gambio
Gambio hasn't published official guidance yet, but its existing Zusatzfeld (additional field) mechanism, combined with theme access, is enough to add both labels correctly.
As of 1 September 2026, Gambio has not published an official statement on how this labelling should be added. As a self-hosted shop system, full theme access and the built-in Zusatzfeld mechanism provide a workable path. This page is a recommendation based on the current market situation, not legal advice.
It helps to treat this as two separate tasks. The legal guarantee notice belongs on every product page, full stop, that's step 1. The GARAN-Label is only relevant if you advertise a manufacturer guarantee longer than 2 years on a given product, add it there in step 2, once it exists.
Step 1: add the legal guarantee notice in the theme
Since the legal guarantee notice is identical for every product, a one-time embed directly in the product detail template is enough. You don't need to repeat it for each product.
Implementation requires access to the theme's template files. For heavily customised shops, check with the agency maintaining it.
Step 2: add the GARAN-Label via a Zusatzfeld, if it applies
Only relevant for products where you advertise a voluntary manufacturer guarantee of more than 2 years. Where it applies, the label is specific to that product (brand, model, guarantee duration), so create a free account and generate it at GARAN-Label.com first, sandbox mode is free to try. Once you have the file:
- Configure a Zusatzfeld for products that accepts an image or file upload.
- Upload the generated GARAN-Label per product into that field.
- Edit the product template to output the field's value at the desired place.
Important: the GARAN-Label must not appear as an additional product image in the regular image gallery. Output the Zusatzfeld specifically in the information area of the product page, for example below the description, so it's clearly recognisable as additional information rather than a product photo.

Start by creating a free account at GARAN-Label.com, sandbox mode costs nothing, which is a good way to see the finished label before touching your Zusatzfeld or template. Then decide how you want to generate the real labels:
Small catalogue
Manual mode: enter brand, model, and guarantee duration, download the label right away, and upload it to the Zusatzfeld.
Large catalogue
CSV mode gives you a result file with brand, model, and the matching label URL, check whether your import supports mapping it to the Zusatzfeld.
Alternative: let an agency implement it
